Services

What services does PhysioFootprint Offer?

Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy provides advice and treatment for a wide range of sudden onset and long term conditions. We treat acute and long term pain and injury including headaches, back and neck pain, men and women’s health, fit to work and rehabilitation programmes.

The physiotherapists work with the GPs and with local services to promote good communication and support. If you are waiting for NHS treatment or have been discharged, we shall contact our NHS colleagues to ensure continuity of care.

Podiatry and Chiropody
The service covers all aspects of podiatry and chiropody. Podiatrists are dedicated to the treatment of the foot and lower limb. A holistic approach is used to assess and diagnose foot problems with appropriate management to help improve quality of life and sense of well being.

Our scope of practice covers a wide range of podiatric complaints including general nail care, hard skin removal, verrucae treatment, nail surgery, and biomechanical assessment with provision of prescription insoles. The podiatry team works closely with other disciplines to ensure a high quality of care is achieved for each individual.

Exercise Exercise classes for older people and physically frail
Some people will require a full assessment prior to engaging with leisure centre or private exercise programmes. Please discuss when booking an assessment what type of class or exercise regime you are intending to follow.

Rehabilitation Programmes
Treatment may involve a course of supervised exercise by one of our qualified team, to ensure the correct level and type of activity is undertaken for optimum effect.

Mobility and Falls Prevention
These are classes aimed at promotion and maintenance of independence, muscle strength, balance and social interaction. Each class member is assessed to identify their personal strengths and areas of vulnerability, so that the exercises in the class will be modified for each individual. Classes are therefore; small for those who dislike large groups or require more individual attention, and
larger for those who have greater mobility or who are working towards joining the leisure centre classes.

Pilates/T’ai Chi
Individual and group sessions to improve balance, tone and core stability.
