What is a Biomechanical Assessment?
A biomechanical assessment evaluates the bones and soft tissues of the foot and lower limb, in order to diagnoses pathology. An assessment will take approximately an hour and you will be required to walk, stand and sit during the examination.
Biomechanical problems are often treated using orthotics (insoles) and exercise therapy. The physiotherapist and podiatrist work closely in this area to produce the best outcomes and most appropriate treatment plan.
